Most Stores now back open!
We are pleased to be welcoming our shoppers back now that most stores have reopened their doors, following the recent government announcement.
Many of the Centre’s non-essential stores are now open, although not all of them have been able to reopen straight away. The Belfry will be regularly publishing the latest news on all store openings and any time changes on its website at www.redhillbelfry.co.uk and social media, so please check before your visit.
Andy Nash, Centre Manager, said, “It may not be business as usual from next Monday and the way we all shop is going to feel a bit different for a while as we need to work together to keep safe. We are putting a number of measures in place before we open to help keep customers and our retailers safe and to make everyone’s shopping experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. For example, there will be a vending machine for face coverings and sanitiser points will be available throughout the Centre. We ask customers to try to avoid peak times as the Centre will be operating to government guidelines regarding a capacity level which will be under constant review.
He added, “I want to send a big thank you to all our essential workers who have kept the Centre’s key stores open and running throughout lockdown. And special thanks to all of Redhill for your generous support of our NHS heroes and others working tirelessly on behalf of our local community for all this time. The Redhill Foodbank at St. Matthews collection point at Marks & Spencer has been filled time and time again with much-needed essential items, while our local East Surrey Hospital (SASH Charity Trust) has received numerous donations and activity books to help NHS staff and isolated patients."
