Free Santa’s Grotto opens at the Belfry Shopping Centre!

Hundreds of children enjoyed a free visit to Santa’s Grotto when it opened at the Belfry Shopping Centre in Redhill on Saturday.

To celebrate Santa’s arrival, there was festive entertainment, giveaways and Christmas music throughout the day from The Salvation Army Band, the choir from the Royal Alexandra & Albert School in Reigate and Reigate Rock Choir.

The Grotto will be completely free to visit every day up to Christmas Eve and children will also receive a free gift from Santa. For Grotto opening times, see in-Centre or visit

Andy Nash, Centre Manager, said, “The Belfry is proud to be at the heart of the community in Redhill, and our free Grotto means that every child will be able to visit Santa this Christmas.

“Deserving local causes will also benefit as visitors will have the chance to make donations at the Grotto towards local charities, Stripey Stork, which supports children and parents experiencing hardship, and Home-Start East Surrey which also supports families with children.”

More festivities at the Belfry over Christmas include a children’s colouring competition to win £50 of prizes from Toy Barnhaus, Christmas Carols at the Belfry on Sunday 10th December at 6.30pm and Christmas music from local charities and school choirs every Saturday.
