Donation to CHASE hospice care for children

The Belfry Shopping Centre, Redhill, has donated £3,060 to CHASE hospice care for children, which provides specialist nursing, practical and emotional support to families with children who are not expected to reach their 19th birthday across South West London, Surrey and Sussex.

The donation comes from the proceeds of the Belfry's Santa's Grotto at Christmas, as well as money donated from the Centre's roundabout ride for children during the Christmas Lights Switch-On event.

Melanie Hill from CHASE, pictured here accepting a cheque from Richard Cowlard, Belfry Centre Manager, said, "This is a fantastic sum of money, enough to look after a family for three months. We rely on donations to raise £4 million every year to keep our vital services running. We are all about making the most of every day and creating happy memories for families and this generous donation means a lot to all our families and supporters."

The Belfry's Centre Manager, Richard Cowlard, said, "We are delighted to contribute towards the dedicated work of CHASE, whose much-needed, unique care and support helps so many children, young people and their families 365 days a year."
