We hope you and your family have been keeping safe.
Throughout the pandemic, we have focused on making sure that everyone can have a safe experience when they visit the Belfry. Following the government’s confirmation of the lifting of all mandatory Covid measures in England from Monday 19 July, we wanted to share an update on our safety measures within the Centre.
While some safety measures are no longer legally required, we’ve listened to customers and staff, and we know that a lot of people remain cautious. In line with government advice to act carefully, here’s what we’re doing to make sure everyone feels as safe as possible in the Centre as we look forward to welcoming everyone back to shop, relax in our cafes, and enjoy events, including our exciting “Passport for Summer” event this August:
Please keep wearing a face covering in the Centre if you can. Although it is no longer compulsory, the government expects and recommends that people continue to wear a face covering in crowded and enclosed spaces if possible.
To ensure the safety of all our customers and staff, our enhanced hygiene and cleaning measures remain in place throughout the Centre.
As before, you’ll find alcohol based sanitisers at entrances and throughout the Centre. We would encourage everyone to use these frequently to maintain good personal hygiene.
There are also touch free hand washing facilities in our public toilets on the upper mall, with automatic touch free sensor taps, soap dispensers and hand dryers.
The large screens at main entrances displaying live visitor numbers within the Centre have been removed. However, this information remains on our website for the time being for your reassurance.
Although social distancing requirements have been lifted, please keep in mind that some people may desire more personal space, so please continue to be kind, patient and respectful to others.
Please always catch your sneeze or cough, dispose of your tissue safely and wash your hands to protect yourself and others.
Please do stay at home if you have symptoms, have a positive test, or are advised to do so.
We’re all very grateful for your support and everything you continue to do to keep other customers and our staff safe.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at the Belfry.
