Changes to parking charges and introduction of new flexible season tickets
With the extended opening of our Car Park (to midnight every day) we have also made the first changes to our Car Parking tariff for the first time in over 12 years! From Tuesday 13th June our new charges include simple tariff bands and introduce a new flat evening rate of just £2 (from 6pm to close at midnight). However, evening parking (from 6pm) is FREE for visitors to the new Light cinema and leisure complex, just validate your parking ticket during your visit to The Light.
A £2 flat rate also applies to park for the whole day on a Sunday, to 6pm.
Regular visitors may wish to consider registering for one of our new VIParking cards.
VIParking saves you money & time, with your first hour’s parking still for just £1 and evening parking (after 6pm) FREE. It also saves you time (as working similar to an oyster type card) you simply tap-in and tap-out at the barriers, then only top-up occasionally at a pay machine, during your visit, when you need to.
We will also be introducing great new and flexible season parking ticket options. Whether you work in Redhill every day, part-time, or just come in occasionally to work or catch a train into town, then we now have a season ticket option that should suit. Stay tuned for more details on flexible, monthly or quarterly options.
The Belfry’s 750-space car park still offers competitive, great value and we are pleased that we have been able to hold our charges with no increase for the last twelve years, despite rising maintenance and operation costs.
We continue to invest in the recently refurbished car park which has extensive CCTV and LED lighting throughout, electric charging points, many wide bays, plus Disabled Parking Accreditation (DPA), Blue Badge and Shopmobility spaces and services. Recently re-awarded the Police Safer Parking - Park Mark accreditation, in recognition of the safe, light and clean parking experience enjoyed by visitors to The Belfry Shopping Centre Car Park.
